Aris is an American filmmaker based in Los Angeles, CA. A graduate of The University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, he has directed, produced and DP’d films, television, commercials, documentaries and music videos around the world. As a commercial director and cinematographer he has created ads for companies like Nike, Dior, Bijan, InStyle, Education First, Orbis Int’l and Photogenics. His television career includes documentary programming for Discovery Channel, ID, Travel Channel and LMN. He produced and DP’d the 2024 feature film The Magic Hours starring the late Peter Fonda and has directed music videos and music documentaries for Disney, Hans Zimmer, Alexandre Desplat, Brian Tyler, Tencent, Sony Pictures, Lionsgate, IFC Films, Lakeshore Entertainment, CBS Films and Paramount. He recently wrote and directed the short existential thriller, The Island, due out later this year.
